What's Goin' Down...

All righty. So far, the people participating in the book club haven't met yet. I am slightly frustrated at how much time I have now, yet the only time anyone else has is during enrichment every other Wednesday. Hmph. I will see how everything pans out when the times come, which should be this coming Wednesday. And now, I must have patience!

My Personal Preferences

Here are some books that I would like to do for the book club:
The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, The Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini, Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier, anything by Shakespeare, and the Wave by Todd Strasser.
These would be great books that would help open a lot of discussion. They also have a very wide variety of topics and themes, which would help develop our tastes of literature all the more.

Books and Me

This is about me and my involvement in reading -- also about how I plan on joining the book club that a teacher and my friend are starting. I love to read. Just absolutely love it. Because I love how books take me to an entirely different universe. It's hard to explain, but those who feel the same -- like most of my friends -- understand. Another thing that draws me in is the complex thinking that is required to write a story and the feelings that go along with it. Maybe not all, but many writers put their heart and soul into writing a story. When I have an intriguing book in my hands, I'm at home, knowing how much effort there was put into it to provide enjoyment for the readers, including me.
